There is a traditional foundation for every skin type and skin condition out there. These formulas are typically great for everyday use and; with the right skin prep, can last for an all-day wear. Something to keep in mind: all foundations perform differently depending on the weather. It is best to discuss the plethora of options with your Makeup Artist to ensure you are wearing what is best for you and your special day.
Airbrush Foundation
What is it?
Airbrush foundation is becoming more popular for everyday consumers due to the advances in beauty technology. One major factor on its growing popularity is the convenient application for at home users. You can now have professional makeup… at home! Yay, right?
While several companies have developed a hydrating water-based formula, the beauty cult favorite remains silicone based. Silicone based reigns the most durable and reliable for special, all day events.
Professional Airbrush systems typically have a mini air compressor, stainless-steel airbrush gun and a coiled cord to connect the two. Once your custom color has been decided, the makeup will be loaded into chamber and back blended to mix. By pulling back on the trigger, the makeup is released as a fine mist.
How long does it last?
Silicone based airbrush foundation has an impressive wear time of 16-18 hours with proper skin prep and finishing touches. This formula provides a natural, healthy glow to the skin with sheer to full, buildable coverage that lasts all day.
Is Airbrush Foundation right for me?
Silicone based airbrush is great for all skin types. If you are someone who enjoys wearing makeup without feeling like you have something heavy on your skin, airbrush is perfect for you. This formula also features a soft-focus, skin perfecting finish. Think of this like a beauty filter, but for your skin!
If you have acne and you are concerned about coverage, color correcting and spot concealing before airbrushing can prevent redness and additional texture from showing throughout the day. If you are dry, oily or have combination skin, these skin types can be remedied with the correct moisturizer, primer, setting powder and setting spray.
Silicone based foundation is transfer proof as well as water proof. Bring on all the hugs and kisses on your special day!
